Holiday House Weddings did a wonderful job on the floral designs for a recent wedding.  I have enough time to post a couple of images….and couldn’t wait to do so.  It was great fun working with Rebecca & Christian too…so I’ll be sure to post more images from their big day later.  Enjoy!

Yes…it IS very much like my initial post….but I could not resist!!!!!

Katie and Mike had an incredible wedding, downtown Manteo, NC on July 12, 2008.  It was a gorgeous day so the waterside wedding went off without a hitch….having Marshes Lighthouse as a stunning backdrop for their vows.  After the photo shoot on the waterfront, everyone slipped away to 108 Budleigh for the fabulous reception….the dancing all night was a wonderful way to cap off such a great day.  Katie and Mike were wonderful to work with and we especially enjoyed all the dancing that was had at the reception….made taking the images all the more fun!  Thank you for having us….Mac and I wish you two all the best!!!

A fun and fabulous wedding…..take a look.  Rebecca and Dusty…all our best.

Matthew proposed to Heather at a lighthouse…not the Bodie Island Lighthouse…but anyway, we thought it would be a great place to start their e-session before heading to the beach.  These two were flexible and willing…so off we went!  Thanks for a great evening you two!!!

Tomorrow…I’ll add a few more to show their fun and lighthearted side….Heather & Matthew are a great couple.  They’ll be married in Charlotte, NC October 2009.

Exciting news today!  Leslie and Chris were married at The Sanderling Resort and Spa, June 2007 and I’m happy to announce their wedding will be featured in The Knot Spring/Summer 2009 publication.  Take a peek…I LOVED Renee’s work.   Renee Landry , owner of Blooms, specializes in floral and event design on the Outer Banks.  Enjoy!

Melanie and Robert were married on the beach, just behind the Hampton Inn, their weekend get-away.  It was an intimate gathering of family and close friends.  Melanie’s father not only “gave her away” but he also officiated the ceremony.  Following some alone time on the beach with me, Melanie and Robert celebrated their wedding by having a dinner reception at Blue Oyster Point in Duck, NC.  Congratulations Melanie + Robert!

A huge thank you to Khara of Kabloom Studios and Brooke of Brooke Mayo Photography….Khara put together a wonderful article featuring the Photogirls Retreat that was held this past March at an oceanside cottage in Nags Head, NC.  A group of women photographers met and spent a week together….geeking out with their cameras, their laptops, their blogging “got to do list” and all the while sharing tons of helpful, supportive advice over a multitude of HOT topics within the industry…  In my professional career, I wasn’t prepared for such an event and I believe many othes experienced feelings of renewed energy and inspiration.  So much so that our 2nd Annual Photogirl Retreat will be on the West Coast, hosted by some fabulous Washington State photographers, Jena Murray and Michele M. Waite…….thanks to Whitebox Weddings, Sara + Mel, for hosting the first retreat.  It just keeps getting better.

And Artful Blogging did a fabulous job on featuring the event within the pages of their magazine….please see below and order a copy for more information & inspiration.

We are incredibly excited to announce our new project, The EAD Library.  After months of development and research, we are launching a new resource for brides tomorrow, Tuesday July 22nd.  The Library is filled with hundreds of useful links, from photographers to shops to stationers.  Our goal is a simple, comprehensive list of vendors.  The Library will help every bride, no matter her location, find the vendors and inspiration she needs for a beautiful event.

Sarah and Mike were married in Rodanthe.  Here’s a sneak preview….I’ll showcase more images soon.  Thanks to Sarah and Mike…there families and guest were all great to work with.  All our best goes out to you two!  Nannette Kallestad, owner of The Proper Setting, did a fabulous job of coordinating the wedding weekend.

Ashely and Jeremy were married at the Corolla Chapel with their wedding reception at The Sanderling Resort and Spa.  Ashely had her makup professionally applied by Lauren Owen, All Eyes on the Bride.  With Ashley, that was an easy thing to do.  The images below are just a taste of the gorgeous details that went into the making of their wedding.
